Hemp variety Zoryana is one of the high-yield domestic technical hemp varieties developed by Ukrainian breeders. This variety is characterized by virtually zero tetrahydrocannabinol content, which eliminates psychoactive effects and makes it safe for use in the food industry. Zoryana hemp is cultivated using modern technologies, ensuring high-quality raw material for further processing.
The seeds of Zoryana hemp have a mild nutty flavor and are a valuable source of nutrients. They contain approximately 49% polyunsaturated fatty acids Omega-3 and Omega-6, which support cardiovascular and hormonal systems, possess anti-inflammatory, antithrombotic, antiarrhythmic, and hypolipidemic properties. In addition, the seeds contain about 30% plant protein, including all 20 amino acids necessary for muscle building and immune system support. Important components also include soluble and insoluble fiber, which promote healthy digestion, as well as vitamin E with antioxidant properties, protecting cells from oxidative stress.
The hemp oil obtained from Zoryana seeds is a rich and balanced source of linoleic (Omega-6) and alpha-linolenic (Omega-3) fatty acids, as well as a significant amount of tocopherols, which have antioxidant activity. The use of hemp raw material in the food industry is gradually expanding, despite certain functional limitations of seeds, which were previously considered primarily animal feed. Modern processing technologies allow for improving seed properties, opening new opportunities for their use as a gluten-free additive in food products.
