OMEGADAR 2 — a variety of industrial hemp intended primarily for oilseed use. It is characterized by low THC content (0.01–0.05%), ensuring its legal application. The variety boasts high seed yield—up to 1.2 tons per hectare, with an oil content of at least 31.7–32%, making it an ideal raw material for oil production. Additionally, plants reach a height of 230–250 cm, with stem and fiber yields of 100–110 and 30–35 centners per hectare, respectively, allowing the variety to be used for fiber production as well.
OMEGADAR 2 exhibits high resistance to rot and diseases, promoting stable yields and reducing cultivation risks. The flowering period lasts about 88 days, with seed maturity occurring between 123 and 135 days. The variety is recommended for cultivation in Krasnodar Krai and the central region of Russia, where it can be used for dual-purpose applications—producing seeds and green mass, as well as for oilseed purposes.
As a crop, hemp has a rich history and wide application in various industrial sectors, including medical, food, cosmetic, textile, and others. Thanks to its characteristics and adaptability to climatic conditions, the OMEGADAR 2 variety is a promising choice for agricultural production, providing high-quality raw materials for oil and other products.
