Description Vera
The VERA hemp variety is a mid-Russian dioecious variety with green stems and leaves, intended for green stalk cultivation. The vegetation period is about 111 days until complete seed maturity, with approximately 63 days until the end of flowering. Plants reach a height of 215 to 261 cm with 10-12 internodes, providing a medium stem length. The mass of 1000 seeds varies from 17 to 20 grams, and THC content is low at 0.03-0.04%, making the variety safe for industrial use.

VERA variety yield is quite high: stems provide 100 to 120 centners per hectare, and seeds - 8 to 12 centners per hectare. Fat content in seeds reaches about 29.7-30%, indicating good quality raw material for processing. Fiber is characterized by 33% content with a long fiber yield of 21.7% and a breaking load of 30.1 kgf, making it suitable for the textile industry. The variety has medium resistance to seed shattering and weak shattering, as well as weak stem lodging.

Furthermore, VERA has high resistance to root and stem rots, and is weakly affected by gray stem spot, which enhances yield reliability and stability. The variety is included in the State Register of Russia and recommended for cultivation in all regions where mid-Russian hemp is grown. Sowing rate ranges from 0.6 to 3.0 million seeds per hectare, allowing optimization of planting density depending on growing conditions.
