FAVOLA

Potato variety FAVOLA is a mid-early table variety developed in the Netherlands, maturing in 70 to 90 days. Plants of this variety are upright, medium to tall, with well-developed branched structure and olive-green semi-open leaves. Flowers are large, red-purple. The variety is characterized by high yield, ranging from 160 to 346 centners per hectare, and significant growth potential with proper care and feeding using both organic and mineral fertilizers. FAVOLA tubers have oval or round-oval shape with smooth, thin, light-yellow or cream-colored skin. Average tuber mass ranges from 119 to 147 grams, with 6 to 22 tubers per plant, predominantly medium to large size. Flesh is cream-yellow, dense, with starch content from 10.2% to 12.6%. Tubers retain shape well during thermal processing, do not change color after boiling, and have excellent flavor, especially when fried. Due to these qualities, the variety is ideal for consumption and potato chip production. FAVOLA exhibits high resistance to adverse factors: drought, mechanical damage, and several diseases including common scab, late blight, cancer, cyst nematode, and viruses Y and PLRV.
