Description Vedruska
Potato variety Vedruska is an early-maturing table variety with a vegetation period of about 102 days. Plants are semi-erect, medium height, with intermediate growth type. Leaves are moderately green, open in outline, and flowers have a reddish-purple tint with medium-sized corollas. Tubers are round, pink in color with small eyes, rough skin, and white flesh. The average weight of one tuber is about 93.5 grams. Starch content varies from 14.2% to 17.9%, providing good taste qualities rated on average from 3.7 to 4.4 points.

Vedruska variety has high yield, reaching 30-34.8 tons per hectare or 263-311 centners per hectare at the end of the vegetation period. It shows resistance to several diseases and pests: resistant to the common pathotype of late blight, highly resistant to powdery mildew, relatively resistant to common scab, and moderately resistant to stem nematode and potato late blight. Due to these characteristics, the variety is suitable for cultivation in various soil-climate zones of Ukraine, including Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe.

Studies show that Vedruska has high adaptability and resistance to degeneration under different conditions, making it a reliable choice for farmers. This potato variety is recommended for table use due to its excellent combination of taste qualities, disease resistance, and high productivity.
