EASTERN GOLD

The "Eastern Gold" cabbage variety is an early-maturing white cabbage variety, characterized by rapid maturity and high yield. The vegetative period from planting seedlings to harvest ranges from 50-55 to 100-110 days depending on growing conditions. Plants have a compact size and round-shaped heads, which possess a dense structure and an average weight of 0.7 to 3.3 kg. Leaf color varies from greenish to dark green, while the flesh inside is white and juicy, providing good taste qualities.

The variety is valued for its resistance to cracking and fusarium, making it a reliable choice for growing in both open and protected ground. Cabbage heads are distinguished by synchronous maturity and good transportability, allowing them to be used both for fresh consumption and processing. Thanks to its dense structure and good taste, cabbage is suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for boiling and stewing.

For successful cultivation of "Eastern Gold" cabbage, it is recommended to use well-fertilized, fertile soils with a neutral or slightly acidic reaction. The optimal planting scheme is 70x60 cm, while inter-row loosening and earthing up of plants are important. To accelerate ripening, the top bud is recommended to be pinched 3-4 weeks before harvest. Harvest is carried out in October when heads reach characteristic sizes, acquire a shine, and leaves begin to yellow and fall.
