Moscow Late 9 cabbage is a late-maturing variety of white cabbage intended for cultivation in open ground. The vegetation period ranges from 128 to 172 days depending on growing conditions. The heads are round or flat-round, with a mass varying from 3 to 15 kg, while the most typical weight is 6-8 kg. The heads are gray-green in color with a white-yellow cut, making this variety attractive for fresh consumption and pickling.
The variety is characterized by high yield – up to 10-12 kg per square meter, as well as good storability, allowing the cabbage to be stored for up to 6 months. Moscow Late 9 is resistant to most cabbage diseases, low temperatures, and cracking, making it a reliable choice for late harvest. The cabbage is moisture-loving and requires fertile soil, but at the same time has minimal care requirements.
The fruits of this variety are distinguished by excellent taste, high density, and sugar and ascorbic acid content. Thanks to these qualities, the cabbage is suitable not only for fresh consumption but also for processing, in particular for pickling. The transportability of the fruits is average, which should be taken into account during transportation and realization.
