Description Astrus Plus
Astrus Plus — mid-early hybrid of white cabbage, developed by American breeders of Monsanto Technology LLC. This hybrid is characterized by high yield, which in various regions of Kazakhstan reaches from 357.6 to 652.5 centners per hectare. The heads are round and light green, weighing from 0.8 to 1.9 kg, with a head density rated at 5 points, ensuring high marketability — up to 98%. Dry matter content is 8.9%, vitamin C — 49.6%, and total sugar — 4.4%, indicating good taste and nutritional value.

The hybrid Astrus Plus matures in an average of 52-55 days and is characterized by excellent uniformity of heads. Dense heads retain their quality even at early maturity stages, allowing for marketing of produce weighing from 350 grams. The cabbage is suitable for fresh consumption and exhibits resistance to cracking, high humidity, and temperature fluctuations, making it convenient for long-term storage and transportation.

White cabbage, to which the hybrid Astrus Plus belongs, is a biennial plant of the Brassicaceae family, possessing cold resistance and sun-loving traits. It forms a rosette of leaves and a compact head in its first year, and in the second year, it produces flowering stems with seeds. Due to its biological and agronomic characteristics, as well as resistance to diseases and climatic conditions, the hybrid Astrus Plus is widely used in agriculture and valued for its high quality and stable yield.
