Pink flamingo is a perennial aromatic semi-shrub reaching a height of up to 50 cm. Its dense bushes form thick clumps, fully covered with tender pink flowers that attract attention with their bright color and pleasant aroma.
The plant's flowers have a rich, slightly ginger-sage scent that lasts from April to October. Thanks to this, flamingo is often used as a decorative element in flower beds, borders, mixed borders, and along paths. Moreover, this plant is an excellent nectar source: bees collect rich aromatic honey from it.
Pink flamingo is valued not only for its ornamental qualities but also for its beneficial properties. Aromatizers for rooms can be made from its dried branches – simply hang bunches in the kitchen or bedroom. Herbal tea from the leaves helps with colds, improves appetite, and has an expectorant effect. In cooking, the plant is used as a spice in soups and main dishes, adding them a special aroma.
