Iris BIRNA

Elegance and Structure: The Barna Iris

The Barna iris is a professional-grade choice for those prioritizing color purity and structural integrity in landscape design. Standing at a height of 90–120 cm, this cultivar serves as an architectural highlight, providing a clean, white vertical element that anchors complex planting schemes.

Practical Applications for Growers

Barna, developed through a partnership involving French genetics and the agricultural expertise of FANZA, is optimized for two primary professional scenarios:

• Commercial Cut Flowers: The crisp, white petals and sturdy stems make Barna a highly sought-after option for florists. It possesses excellent post-harvest durability and serves as a vital component in both monochrome bouquets and contrast-focused arrangements.
• Landscape Zoning: Its height makes it an essential tool for the back-row placement in perennial borders. It provides consistent structure and creates a professional, well-defined backdrop in public and private gardens alike.

For optimal performance in the field, Barna requires standard professional management. Given its height, protection from wind gusts is recommended, along with consistent moisture management during the budding phase to ensure maximum bloom quality. The rigorous selection process behind this cultivar ensures that growers receive a consistent product that adapts well to regional climatic conditions, providing a reliable return on investment for both cut-flower producers and landscape professionals.
