Description Altai
Iris "Altai" – a perennial plant reaching a bush height of 75 to 90 cm. Leaves are light green, slightly drooping at the ends, and the flower stalk is sturdy, sometimes with a side branch up to 90 cm long. The inflorescence consists of one or two large lavender flowers with a golden eye; no aroma is present.

Flowering occurs in the first half of June and lasts about two weeks. The plant is highly resistant to adverse climatic conditions, diseases, and pests, as well as winter hardiness, making it an ideal choice for mass plantings in parks and gardens. Due to its bright color and cutting longevity, "Altai" is often used as a decorative element in bouquets.

It originates from Altai, where it was first brought alive in 1934. Iris is grown on meadows, forest edges, and mountain slopes, as well as in river valleys. Despite being a decorative plant, it is poisonous, so caution should be observed when handling it.
