Dream is a medium-sized loquat tree, 3.5 to 4.3 m tall with a crown width of about 4.6 m. The bark is compact and dense, the leaves are of medium size and green color, turning orange-red in autumn. The tree reaches full fruit maturity by the end of October, and the yield can reach up to 110 kg from one tree.
Dream loquat fruits are large, round-flat in shape, weighing from 44 g to 200 g. The skin is thin and smooth, red-orange with a characteristic net pattern. When fully ripe, the fruits become soft, the flesh is light orange, juicy, non-fibrous, resembling the consistency of jam. In the hard state, they are astringent, but after softening they acquire a sweet taste and aroma.
The variety is monoecious, so it does not require the planting of pollinators, and is also resistant to fungal diseases and frosts down to –24 °C. It is recommended to grow in sunny, southern areas with fertile, moisture-dry soils (clay loam), where the tree receives sufficient light and protection from strong winds. Due to high resistance to diseases and ease of care, Dream is suitable for both home gardens and commercial loquat cultivation.
