PGSSKH 7 – a cotton variety (Gossypium hirsutum L.) from the spinning group, characterized by a conical plant form and palmate leaves with gossypol glands; nectarines are absent. The flower has cream-colored petals, and the longitudinal section of the capsule is elliptical with a medium-length pedicel. The variety's fiber is long, with a staple length of 32 mm and a breaking strength of 4.3 H, ensuring high yarn quality.
Raw cotton yield ranges from 34.1 to 47.8 centners/hectare, while manual harvesting reaches 70%. The mass of raw material per capsule fluctuates between 4.8 and 5.3 g, and the mass of 1,000 seeds is between 112 and 120 g. Fiber yield is 37.5%, and seed yield is 20.3 centners/hectare. Fat content in seeds ranges from 33–38%. The vegetative period lasts 100–105 days.
The variety is recommended for cultivation at a planting density of 80,000 to 100,000 plants per hectare, with six to seven-hilling cultivation and three-fold irrigation during the growing season. PGSSKH 7 is suitable for mechanized harvesting and is resistant to sucking pests (spider mites, aphids), as well as to verticillium and fusarium wilt.
