Description
The Braun cotton variety belongs to Gossypium hirsutum L. and is characterized by resistance to Verticillium wilt and gummosis, making it suitable for cultivation under drip irrigation. The recommended sowing density is 110,000 plants per hectare with a spacing of 13 cm between plants and a row width of 70 cm. The product's vegetative period lasts from 105 to 110 days, after which the plant is ready for mechanized harvesting.
BRAUN is distinguished by its conical plant shape, palmate leaves with the presence of gossypol glands and nectaries. The flower has cream-colored petals, and the boll is oval in longitudinal section with a medium-length peduncle. The variety's fiber is characterized by medium length (staple length 31 mm) and type V, which ensures good processing and raw material quality.
The yield of raw cotton is 28.0 c/ha when collecting home-grown seeds, and the mass of one boll is 5.4 g. Fiber yield reaches 34.8%, and seed yield is 19 c/ha. The mass of 1000 seeds is 100 g. These indicators make BRAUN a competitive choice for commercial cotton production.
