Description Alpha-Cloquazol
Active ingredient: Cloquazol, 480 g/l
Formulation: Concentrate emulsion
Purpose: Pre-emergence systemic herbicide for the eradication of annual broadleaf and grass weeds
Packaging: 5 L

Advantages

• High biological efficiency on all soil types.
• Long-lasting protective action (minimum 30 days).
• Does not move vertically through the soil profile, preventing leaching into groundwater.
• Guaranteed return on investment due to minimal application costs per hectare.
Mode of action

Alpha-Cloquazol penetrates plants through roots and coleoptile, moving exclusively upward via xylem to the leaves, where it blocks chlorophyll synthesis, disrupting photosynthesis and causing weed death, typically within a few days after emergence. In crop plants, the active ingredient (cloquazol) is metabolized and broken down into non-toxic substances.
Properties

When applied, cloquazol may cause whitening of the first pair of rapeseed cotyledons, but this disappears later, and plants develop a more robust root system, better tolerating low temperatures. If replanting is necessary, rapeseed and soybean can be sown 30-60 days after treatment following shallow cultivation to a depth of 8-10 cm; for all other crops, deep plowing is recommended. It is undesirable to sow wheat, rye, oats, barley, corn for grain, or alfalfa on fields treated with this product in the fall or spring.
Alpha-Cloquazol effectively controls a wide range of weeds: common chickweed, common goosegrass, black nightshade, common ragwort, ragwort, field bindweed, common millet, goosegrass, common nettle, field chickweed, Teophrastrum knotweed, pachysandra, portulaca, hairy chickweed, common shepherd’s purse, common goosegrass, common starwort, Veronica plebeia, species of purslane, yellowweed, gray thistle, common shepherd’s purse, species of daisy, medicinal yarrow.
Alpha-Cloquazol is insufficiently effective against: Shepherd’s purse, field mustard, common violet, Sophora bean, wild poppy.

General recommendations

In case of insufficient soil moisture before or after spraying, soil compaction using spiked or toothed rollers is recommended. The application rate depends on the humus content in the soil; it can be reduced on low-humus soils. To expand the spectrum of action against weeds, a tank mix can be used under rapeseed sowing: Alpha-Cloquazol 0.15 — 0.2 L/ha + Alpha-German 2 — 2.2 L/ha.
