DescriptionZARYA
Cationic (silk) guar is a water-soluble organic compound, a derivative of quaternary ammonium guar, which has a positive charge and neutralizes negative charges on hair and skin. Thanks to this, it makes hair lightweight, voluminous, and easy to style, and also improves moisture retention in silk keratin fibers.
In cosmetic products, cationic guar is used as a gelling component, creating a soft texture for shampoos, conditioners, face wash gels, and styling products. When dissolved in water, it forms a homogeneous gel; to speed up the process, it is recommended to slightly acidify the solution (pH below 5). Dosage is usually in the range of 0.1% to 2%, with the most common concentration being 0.5%. The pH of the solution is around 9.5–10.5.
The advantages of cationic guar include: conditioning of hair and skin, removal of static charge, adding shine and silkiness. It also reduces hair brittleness, improving their structure and elasticity. Store the product in a dry, cool place, protected from direct sunlight, to maintain its effectiveness.
