Gladiolus Home Run

Flowering Architecture and Technical Specifications

The 'Home Run' gladiolus is a product of Ukrainian selective breeding, specifically engineered for the professional cut flower market. The morphology of this variety is focused on achieving perfect inflorescence geometry, which requires precise nutritional management to maximize yield.

Stem and Growth Habit

The flower spike reaches a height of 100–120 cm. This length provides not only visual impact but also the technical versatility needed for tall interior arrangements. A robust root system ensures that the heavy flower spike remains upright without the need for additional staking, significantly reducing labor costs in industrial settings.

Flower Morphology: The Role of Ruffling

A key structural feature of this variety is the distinct ruffling of the petal edges. Biologically, this is more than just an aesthetic trait; it increases the surface area for moisture regulation, helping the flower maintain turgor longer when harvested. The pure white coloration makes it a staple in the floral industry, highly sought after for both monochrome bouquets and complex bridal arrangements.

Agronomic Value

• High bud density along the spike ensures a visually complete and premium appearance.
• Petal texture is resistant to mechanical damage during transport, which is critical for market profitability.
• The variety is well-adapted to the climatic conditions of Ukraine, showing stable performance under standard cultivation practices.

'Home Run' is the choice for growers who prioritize classical aesthetics combined with predictable agricultural outcomes. Its high decorative value and pristine white tone make this gladiolus an essential asset for premium floral projects.
