Gladiolus 'Wavy Fripe' is an eye-catching plant with large flowers reaching a gigantic size of over 14 cm in diameter. The outer petals are vividly red, while the inner ones have a lighter pink hue with a characteristic wavy ruffle and green fringed edging, creating a unique 'flower within a flower' effect. The flowers are heavily ruffled, adding extra decorativeness and volume.
The plant reaches a height of about 160 cm, making it suitable for creating expressive floral compositions and decorating garden plots. Up to 20 flowers can bloom simultaneously in one inflorescence, ensuring a long-lasting and abundant flowering. The variety is bred for growing in the climate conditions of the Moscow region and features a medium flowering duration.
'Wavy Fripe' was bred by the breeder Kuznetsov and was first presented in 2005-2006.
