WAVY FRIPE

Gladiolus 'Wavy Fripe' is an eye-catching plant with large flowers reaching a gigantic size of over 14 cm in diameter. The outer petals are vividly red, while the inner ones have a lighter pink hue with a characteristic wavy ruffle and green fringed edging, creating a unique 'flower within a flower' effect. The flowers are heavily ruffled, adding extra decorativeness and volume.

The plant reaches a height of about 160 cm, making it suitable for creating expressive floral compositions and decorating garden plots. Up to 20 flowers can bloom simultaneously in one inflorescence, ensuring a long-lasting and abundant flowering. The variety is bred for growing in the climate conditions of the Moscow region and features a medium flowering duration.

'Wavy Fripe' was bred by the breeder Kuznetsov and was first presented in 2005-2006. This gladiolus is excellent for enthusiasts of bright and unusual flowers who appreciate the combination of saturated shades and original petal texture. Thanks to its characteristics, the variety is widely used both in landscape design and for cutting in bouquets.
