Description ANDREY SAKHAROV
The Gladiolus variety «Andrey Sakharov» is a tall herbaceous plant with a sturdy, straight scape and wide, tall leaves. The spike of this variety is long, double-rowed, and dense, consisting of 25-30 large flowers, from which 7-8 to 12 open simultaneously. The flowers have an open shape and are distinguished by a delicate cream color with very light lilac-fuchsia shades that do not fade in the sun. The perianth lobes of the flowers are ovoid, wide, and pleated-guifred with small pleats, which gives them special decorativeness.

The variety «Andrey Sakharov» belongs to hybrid gladioli and is grown as an annual herbaceous perennial. Its flowering is moderate in terms of timing and lasts about 14-16 days, which allows enjoying bright and large flowers for quite some time. Due to its versatility and stability, the variety is recommended for cultivation in all regions, which is confirmed by its inclusion in the State Register of Breeding Achievements in Russia in 2002.

This gladiolus is excellent for decorative landscaping of gardens and flower beds, as well as for cutting and creating bouquets thanks to the sturdy scape and long flowering. Its delicate and stable coloration makes the variety attractive to flower lovers who appreciate the combination of beauty and reliability in culture.
