Systemic post-emergence herbicide for controlling annual and perennial grassy weeds, including creeping foxtail (Elytrigia repens) and Bermuda grass (Cynodon dactylon) in sugar beet, sunflower, rapeseed, vegetable, and other crops.
Mode of action of the product:
The herbicide Oreol, active ingredient, has systemic action. The product quickly penetrates the leaf surface of weeds, reaching growth points of stems and roots. It disrupts fatty acid synthesis, halting weed growth, causing wilting and death.
The herbicide acts only on actively growing weeds during application. It does not penetrate the soil and does not affect weeds that emerge after spraying.
General recommendations for using the product:
The most effective time for applying the herbicide Oreol, active ingredient, is during the active growth of weeds in warm weather and with adequate soil moisture. Best results are achieved when spraying at the 2-3 leaf stage before the tillering phase in annuals and 4-6 leaves in perennials (at plant height 10-15 cm). Under these conditions, minimal recommended rates of the product should be applied. If applied later in the weed's growth stage, higher rates are required.
The solution should be used within several hours after preparation. The product can be applied in mixtures with other plant protection agents (herbicides, fungicides, insecticides), except strongly alkaline ones. However, compatibility of the products should be checked additionally.
After application, annual weeds die within 7-10 days, perennials — within 14-24. The herbicide should be applied during active weed growth regardless of crop development stage.
If prolonged low temperatures occur after treatment, the effect will appear later. Once optimal conditions are restored, the herbicidal action of the product resumes.
Preparation of the working solution of the product:
Water for preparing the working solution should be clean. A large amount of foreign particles, silt, or clay in water can significantly affect the herbicide's efficacy. When using hard water, lower concentrations of the working solution and higher doses of the product are recommended.
The working solution is prepared immediately before application: measure the required amount of the product for one sprayer fill, fill the tank halfway with water, then turn on the mixer. Then add the required amount of the product and, after 15-20 minutes, top up with water to full capacity.
Attention! The mixer must be running during preparation of the working solution and during spraying.
Advantages of using the herbicide Oreol, active ingredient:
Perfectly solves the problem of controlling grassy weeds;
Treatment can be conducted regardless of crop development stage;
Effective against cereal crop lodging at dosage 1.8-2.0 L/ha;
Rapidly absorbed by plants, becomes resistant to rain within 3 hours after application;
Destroys underground parts of grassy weeds, preventing their regrowth;
High activity over a wide temperature range — from +13° to +25°;
No phytotoxic effect on crops and subsequent crops in crop rotation.
