Pre-emergence herbicide for controlling annual broadleaf and some grass weeds in rapeseed crops
Active ingredient: Clomazone, 480 g/l
Formulation: Emulsifiable concentrate
Application spectrum: Rapeseed
Main advantages
The most effective pre-emergence herbicide for controlling annual broadleaf and some grass weeds in rapeseed crops
High efficiency and safety for the crop
Application of this product is an essential part of rapeseed cultivation technology.
To achieve maximum effect, it is necessary to ensure good pre-sowing soil preparation, absence of clods, and leveling of the field surface. Soil spraying should be conducted within the first three days after sowing, ideally immediately after sowing. Application rate depends on soil humus content; it can be reduced on low-humus soils.
White discoloration of the first pair of rapeseed leaves may occur upon use, but it disappears later, and plants develop a more robust root system and better withstand low temperatures.
If replanting is required, rapeseed and soybean can be sown 30–60 days after treatment, provided the soil is shallowly tilled to a depth of 8–10 cm. For other crops, deep plowing is recommended.
Time before personnel can return to treated areas: 3 days for mechanized work, 7 days for manual work.
Maximum number of applications: no more than once every 3 years on the same field.
Mode of action
The active ingredient is absorbed by the plant through seedlings and roots. Once inside, Clomazone stops chlorophyll and carotene synthesis, thereby halting photosynthesis.
Spectrum of activity
Annual grass weeds: Common meadow foxtail.
Annual broadleaf weeds: Common chickweed, common ragweed, Ambrosia artemisiifolia, white mustard, purslane, shepherd’s purse, starwort.
Annual winter weeds: Field pennycress, Teophrastrum knotweed, hairy chickweed, shepherd’s purse.
Compatibility with other products
This herbicide is compatible with most pesticides when mixed in tank mixes. However, compatibility must be checked for each specific case.
WHO classification: Class III (moderately hazardous).
