Soil herbicide for protecting sunflower, potato, pea, soybean, coriander, and carrot crops against annual broadleaf and grass weeds.
Formulation and active ingredient:
Prometryn concentrate suspension, 500 g/l.
Chemical class:
Triazines.
Packaging:
10 L cans.
Protective period:
The herbicide provides protection for 8-10 weeks after application. This period depends on various factors and application conditions: surface soil moisture level, uniformity of working solution distribution, incorporation, time of crop emergence, and soil shading.
Mode of action:
Prometryn blocks the photosynthesis process in weed plants. The product is absorbed by both seedlings and roots of emerging weeds when applied before emergence. When applied after weed emergence, the effect is expressed through leaves. The developmental stage of controlled plants should not exceed the cotyledon stage.
Properties and advantages:
Positive Plus, having a liquid formulation, is convenient for application;
Effective control and broad spectrum against annual broadleaf and grass weeds;
Maximum efficacy against cruciferous weeds and weeds (field mustard and wild radish, rape);
Applicable to a wide range of technical and vegetable crops;
Long-lasting protective period of 2.5 months depending on application rate and soil-climatic conditions;
Ideal component for tank mixes with soil-applied grass herbicides, including acetochlor and metolachlor.

Special features:
The most optimal conditions for applying the soil herbicide Positive Plus are moist, fine-textured soil surfaces onto which the working solution is applied. The product should be applied immediately after sowing, or 3-4 days before crop emergence, provided there are no heavy rains that could wash the product into the seed zone.
Incorporation under dry conditions promotes binding with residual soil moisture and formation of a herbicide barrier. Large amounts of unevenly distributed plant residues may prevent the herbicide from working effectively.
Incorporation under moist conditions will allow mixing of the herbicide with soil volume and form a stable (non-washable) herbicide barrier. Otherwise (without incorporation), at the time of crop emergence, there is an increased risk of phytotoxicity due to the localization of a concentrated barrier on the soil surface and the possibility of heavy rains washing it down into the seedling profile! In such situations, prometryn exhibits contact action on both weed and crop plants. In such cases, herbicide incorporation is mandatory, even if soil moisture is present.
WHO classification, toxicological characteristics:
Class III (moderately toxic).
Shelf life and storage conditions for the product:
Three years in sealed factory packaging at temperatures from 0 oС to +35 oС.
