Description GOLDEN TUSSELL
Physalis 'Golden Tussell' is an early-maturing variety with a plant height of about 90–100 cm and a compact form up to 30–35 cm. Fruits develop in the internodes, reaching a diameter of up to 4 cm and weighing from 3 to 5 grams. Immature berries have a light green hue, turning bright yellow upon full ripening, sometimes with a purple bloom.

The fruit taste is sweet and sour, reminiscent of a combination of strawberries and pineapple, making them popular both fresh and for preparing compotes, jams, candied fruits, and pickles. For processing, it is recommended to leave the berries after harvesting until they fully yellow to fully develop their aroma.

The variety is distinguished by early ripening (90–100 days from germination) and good yield – 0.3–0.5 kg of marketable fruits per plant. Successful cultivation requires a sunny location, well-fertilized soil, regular watering, and nitrogen fertilization until mid-July. Sowing seedlings in March–April and planting in May after the last frost is recommended. Planting scheme – 20 × 30 cm.
