Currant ZEINOYNY MIRAZH

Technical Specifications of the 'Znoyny Mirazh' Cultivar

Developed by the I.V. Michurin Federal Scientific Center, this cultivar is a product of specialized breeding aimed at climate resilience. The core design of this variety focuses on balancing thermal endurance with a compact vegetative cycle, making it an efficient choice for challenging cultivation zones.

Agronomic and Structural Analysis

• Vegetation Cycle: As a mid-season cultivar, it achieves technical maturity within 45–55 days after bud burst. This compressed maturation window allows the plant to reach optimal fruit development efficiently without excessive water loss or stress during mid-summer heat spikes.
• Plant Architecture: The bush is characterized by a medium-spreading habit. This physical structure is intentional, providing sufficient airflow and light penetration to the central stems. This reduces the incidence of fungal pathogens and ensures more uniform fruit ripening throughout the canopy.
• Fruit Morphology: The berries reach 0.8–1.2 cm in diameter. The distinct yellow coloration indicates a unique profile of anthocyanins and antioxidants, providing both visual appeal and a different flavor complexity compared to traditional blackcurrant varieties.

With a rated winter hardiness of -30°C, 'Znoyny Mirazh' offers a reliable hedge against severe winter conditions. Its architectural form allows for streamlined maintenance, including easier pruning and manual or mechanical harvesting. For growers, this variety represents a stable biological machine capable of consistent production in temperate environments with significant seasonal temperature fluctuations.
