Black currant variety Universitetskaya «CLONE B-3» represents an improved version of the classic Ukrainian variety, created using advanced virus-free biotechnology in vitro. This variety is characterized by a high degree of health and purification from internal and external infections, ensuring its resilience and longevity. Bushes have a spherical shape and reach a height of up to 1.5 meters, with a lifespan of 10 to 15 years while maintaining all claimed characteristics.

Black currant berries of the Universitetskaya «CLONE B-3» variety, with a medium maturation period, possess an attractive appearance: they are black with a glossy sheen, larger than cherries but slightly smaller than cherries, weighing from 5 to 7 grams. The fruits are sweet with a slight tartness, have a dry detachment and do not fall off when ripening, allowing the harvest to be collected both in one go and in several stages. The length of the raceme with berries reaches 12 centimeters.

The variety is characterized by high yield — from an adult bush, one can collect from 5 to 6 kilograms of berries, and with good care, this figure can increase by 2-3 kilograms. Bushes are very winter-hardy, do not require additional pollinators and are resistant to fungal diseases, requiring only preventive treatments. They also withstand return frosts well, flooding with melt water in the spring and short-term drought in the summer. Thinning of young shoots is not required, as all of them are productive.
