KIALIM

Kialim is a black currant variety that has passed trials and is recommended for cultivation in various regions, including the Krasnoyarsk Krai and the Southern Ural. This variety is distinguished by good winter hardiness and frost resistance, which is confirmed by multi-year field studies. In particular, under Southern Urals conditions, the degree of freezing for the Kialim variety is assessed as moderate, indicating its ability to withstand low temperatures typical of harsh winters without significant damage to plant tissues.

Frost hardiness studies showed that, like other medium-resistant varieties, winter damage for the Kialim variety mainly affects the bark and buds, while the wood and core remain less prone to freezing. This allows the plant to maintain viability and successfully recover after winter cold. In addition, the variety is characterized by high yield and good berry quality, which makes it attractive to gardeners and breeders.

In addition to frost hardiness, the Kialim variety has resistance to diseases and pests, which reduces the need for intensive chemical protection and contributes to more environmentally clean cultivation. Thanks to these qualities and adaptation to local climatic conditions, the variety is widely used in breeding and is recommended for cultivation in zones with similar climatic features.
