Medium-early maturing variety, developed at VNIIS of Fruit Crop Selection from crossing varieties Chulkovskaya and Maarses Prominent. Authors: L.V. Bayanova, V.E. Dzhafarova. Since 2001, included in the State Register of Selection Achievements approved for use in the Central-Chernozem and West Siberian regions.
Medium-height, slightly spreading, compact, dense bush. Shoots are thin, straight, with anthocyanin 'tan', woody stems are light-brown with short internodes. Buds are medium-sized, round, sit on broad petioles, deviated from the shoots. Petiole scar is wide, semi-circular or triangular.
Leaves are three- to five-lobed, small, dark green, leathery, glossy, wrinkled, hairy underneath. Leaf blade is folded like a boat, edges are raised upward. Lobes are short, blunt, central lobe significantly exceeds lateral ones. Lateral lobes are directed upward, angle between central veins of lateral lobes varies from acute to straight. Basal lobes are poorly developed, lateral edges of the leaf are cut. Base of the leaf has shallow, wide notch. Leaf petiole is short, medium thickness, without anthocyanin coloration. Teeth are medium-sized, blunt.
Flowers are medium-sized, deep cup-shaped, calyx is weakly expressed, green. Sepals are yellow-green, not closed, curled downward. Stamens and pistil are low. Petals are small, narrow. Inflorescences are medium length (10.0 cm with petiole), dense, slightly curved, yellow-green. Inflorescence axis is thick, sparsely hairy, with weak anthocyanin coloration. Flower stalks are short, curved. Inflorescence petiole is medium length and thickness, hairy, green.
Berries are medium-sized (0.4-0.6 g), slightly smaller toward the end of the cluster. Shape is round, color is bright red, with whitish veins visible on berries. Flavor is sweet-sour. Receptacle is five-angled, large. Chemical composition: dry matter - 11.7%, total sugars - 7.9%, titratable acidity - 2.7%, ascorbic acid - 46.9%, P-active substances - 342.0 mg/100 g, pectin substances - 7.8%.
Cold-hardy, high-yielding, average multi-year yield is 14.3 t/ha (2.0 kg/plant at planting scheme 0.5 x 2.8 m), resistant to anthracnose, septoria, and powdery mildew.
Advantages of the variety: cold-hardiness, complex disease resistance.
Disadvantages of the variety: insufficient taste and market quality of berries.
