Description Cerera
Medium-ripening variety, developed at the Institute of Fruit Growing of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus from a cross between varieties Paulinka and Pilot Alexander Mamkin. Authors: A.G. Voluznev, N.A. Zazulina, G.P. Rainchikova, A.F. Raduk. Since 1999, included in the State Register of Selection Achievements approved for use in the Northwest region of the Russian Federation.

Medium-height, weakly spreading bush with medium branching. Growing shoots are medium and slender, light green, anthocyanin-colored, glossy, hairless, "hairy" due to the unfolding axillary buds; woody shoots are gray-brown, glossy, with dark brown "spots". Buds are purple, bright, medium-sized, slender, pointed, spindle-shaped, arranged parallel to the shoot, terminal — non-free (adjacent smaller buds). Leaf scars are round.

Leaf five-lobed, medium-sized, green, pointed, weakly glossy, weakly fringed, finely wrinkled, with a hanging blade. Leaf margin is wavy. Central lobe is pointed, slightly longer than lateral lobes, with a curled tip and additional protrusions. Lateral lobes are narrow, pointed, indentations between lobes are sharp and deep, angle between their veins is straight or obtuse. Upper sides of lateral lobes are raised and positioned at an acute angle to the central vein; lower sides are nearly vertical. Basal lobes are weakly expressed, veins directed toward the leaf apex or spread out. Leaf base has an open, small notch. Teeth are small, sharp, serrated. Petiole is colored, hairless, bluish.

Flowers medium-sized, red. Stamens in the flower are at the level of the pistil. Inflorescences are medium and short, medium density, axis of medium thickness.

Berries large (1.2 g), black, glossy, round, medium skin, tart-sweet taste (4.9 points), pleasant, universal use. Receptacle is round, closed, small. Peduncle is medium length. Chemical composition: dry solids — 12.1%, total sugars — 8.4%, titratable acidity — 2.6%, ascorbic acid — 176.0 mg/100 g, pectin substances (on fresh weight) — 1.2%.

Winter-hardy, highly self-fertile, no berry drop, slightly affected by American powdery mildew and leaf spot diseases, high-yielding (12.0–13.0 t/ha).

Advantages of the variety: high yield, taste qualities.

Disadvantages of the variety: susceptibility to fungal diseases.
