Description

Cucumber JARY is a high-yielding parthenocarpic hybrid intended for winter-spring rotation and light culture. The plant exhibits moderate vegetative growth, a strong root system, and an open habit, ensuring good growth and moderate leafiness. Female-type flowering with one to two fruits per node. Mid-season hybrid with stable fruit set and continuous fruiting throughout the growing period. JARY cucumber fruits have elongated-cylindrical shape, approximately 20–22 cm long, with average weight of 140–160 g. Their surface is dark green with frequent medium-sized tubercles, giving the fruits a slightly ribbed texture. The flesh is dense, free of cavities and bitterness, providing excellent taste qualities. Cucumbers are suitable for fresh consumption, salad preparation, and canning, as well as having good storability and transportability. The hybrid is resistant to true powdery mildew and exhibits ecological plasticity, enabling successful cultivation under various conditions. The plant prefers warmth, light, and adequate moisture, requiring periodic fertilization to maintain high yields. Seed sowing is recommended in well-heated soil at a depth of 3–4 cm, with optimal planting time in January–February for winter-spring rotation.
