Cucumber WHITE DRAGON

Field Performance: 'Beliy Drakon' Cucumber

For growers focusing on early production, the 'Beliy Drakon' hybrid by Ooo Tsentr Ogorodnik is a solid choice. With a harvest window starting at 40–50 days, it ensures a quick turnover. Being a parthenocarpic variety, it eliminates the need for pollination, making management straightforward even in greenhouse or indoor environments where bee activity is restricted.

Plant Habit and Harvest

This is a generative-type plant. It prioritizes fruit set over excessive foliage growth, which makes pruning and vine training much easier during the growing season. The fruits are substantial, reaching 20–25 cm in length, featuring a light green skin and prominent tubercles. When managed correctly, the plant remains highly productive, provided the fruits are harvested regularly to maintain plant vigor.

Disease Resilience

One of the key operational advantages of 'Beliy Drakon' is its robust health. It shows excellent resistance to cladosporiosis and various viral diseases, specifically cucumber mosaic virus. This built-in protection significantly reduces the pressure on your chemical management plan, ensuring a cleaner crop and higher marketability of the produce, whether grown in open fields or glass greenhouses.
