F1 Samorodok is a medium-maturing, bee-pollinated hybrid of cornichon type, developed by Ukrainian breeding. The plant is tall, reaching up to 180 cm, with predominantly female flowering. It is recommended for cultivation in open ground or under temporary cover, ensuring a stable and high-quality yield. The maturation period is approximately 50-60 days, allowing for an early harvest.
The fruits of F1 Samorodok are oval-cylindrical, blunt-ended, 9–14 cm long, weighing about 80 grams. The skin is covered with small bumps and light stripes, while the flesh is crisp, juicy, and free of bitterness. Due to its excellent flavor, the cucumber is ideal for fresh consumption, pickling, and salting. The harvest forms uniformly, with yields reaching 3–5 kg per square meter.
The hybrid exhibits high resistance to major diseases such as powdery mildew, cucumber mosaic, and downy mildew, significantly simplifying care and increasing cultivation reliability. Additionally, F1 Samorodok contains significant amounts of iodine and vitamin K, beneficial for bone health. All these features make this variety an attractive choice for gardeners seeking a tasty, nutritious, and disease-resistant crop.
