Cucumber Samurai

Samurai F1 cucumber is an early-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid, characterized by rapid growth and vigorous plant development. It forms large, healthy bushes with clustered fruiting, ensuring a high and stable yield. Fruiting occurs 36-48 days after germination, allowing for the quick harvest of fresh cucumbers. The plant is suitable for cultivation in greenhouses, polytunnels, and open ground, with seedling planting recommended for cooler regions. Samurai cucumber fruits have a cylindrical shape with large bumps and distinctive spines, giving them a unique appearance. The 5-11 cm long fruits have a dark green, saturated color with short light stripes and white spines. The flesh is dense, crisp, juicy, and free of bitterness, making the cucumbers ideal for fresh consumption and canning. The fruits maintain freshness and do not yellow for 3.5-4 weeks after harvest. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to major cucumber diseases, including fungal, bacterial, and viral infections such as powdery mildew, cladosporiosis, and cucumber mosaic virus. This significantly reduces the need for chemical protection and enhances yield reliability. Samurai F1 is suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, with optimal seedling planting time in March–April, and direct planting in April–May when soil temperature is not below 15 °C.
