Cucumber Richter

High-Performance Cultivation in Glasshouses

The «Richter» cucumber from Sedek is a professional-grade parthenocarpic hybrid specifically engineered for intensive glasshouse operations. As a generative-type plant, it is optimized to shift its metabolic focus toward fruit development, ensuring an early harvest within 40–45 days after germination.

Field Application and Operational Insights

For growers operating in controlled environments, «Richter» serves as a robust solution to common production hurdles. Its inherent resistance to root rot and powdery mildew reduces the reliance on intensive chemical applications, facilitating the production of high-quality, marketable produce suitable for modern retail standards.

• Fruit Quality: The dark green, heavily warted cucumbers weigh between 80 and 110 grams. With a primary length of 10–12 cm (occasionally reaching 25 cm), these fruits offer the perfect profile for fresh market presentation.
• Generative Efficiency: Because the plant is genetically predisposed toward fruit production, precise management of the growth cycle and microclimate is key. In glasshouse settings, «Richter» displays exceptional fruit set rates, even under fluctuating temperature conditions often encountered in mid-season cycles.

Choosing «Richter» is a strategic move for producers who prioritize predictable yields and consistency. Whether managing long-cycle rotations or smaller batches, the hybrid’s ability to thrive in closed systems with minimal disease pressure makes it a reliable choice for commercial success.
