Merengue F1 (RX 03301930)

Merengue F1 cucumber is a super-early parthenocarpic hybrid of cornichon type, developed by the Dutch seed company Seminis. It is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouses under plastic or glass. The plants have strong growth and a well-developed root system, ensuring stable and abundant fruiting. The vegetation period is about 38-40 days, allowing for an early harvest.

The fruits of Merengue F1 have a correct cylindrical shape, 8-10 cm long, with a dark green skin covered with large bumps. The flesh is dense, crisp, very juicy and tasty, with a small seed cavity. The hybrid is characterized by high fruit uniformity and absence of bitterness due to its genetic traits. The fruit length-to-diameter ratio is approximately 3.2, giving them an attractive commercial appearance.

The variety is resistant to major cucumber diseases, such as cucumber mosaic virus, powdery mildew, and downy mildew, as well as to typical pests. Merengue F1 is adaptable to various growing conditions and soils, making it suitable for different regions. The cucumbers are suitable for both fresh consumption and canning, providing a high and stable yield throughout the growing season.
