Cucumber Luzhok

Premium Quality Salad Cucumber

The «Luzhok» cucumber, developed by the SSS «Partenocarpik» team, is a top choice for commercial growers aiming for high-quality, salad-type yields. As a parthenocarpic variety, it performs excellently without insect pollination, making it highly versatile for both greenhouse operations and open-field cultivation.

Resilience and Management

Characterized by a vegetative growth habit, «Luzhok» requires standard vine management but rewards the producer with strong genetic resistance to olive spot disease. It also shows significant tolerance to other common cucumber pathogens, which is a critical factor for reducing chemical applications:

• Mycosphaerella blight;
• Ascochyta blight;
• Brown spot.

This inherent stability allows growers to streamline their crop protection strategy and maintain healthier plants throughout the growing season.

Marketability and Yield

The standout feature of «Luzhok» is its smooth-skinned fruit. Measuring between 20 and 25 cm, the vivid green cucumbers belong to the premium salad category, which is in high demand in retail and fresh produce markets. The absence of spines and uniform shape make these cucumbers easy to handle, transport, and merchandise. For farmers looking for a reliable, high-performing variety that produces consistent, marketable results, «Luzhok» serves as an ideal solution for long-cucumber production.
