PARUS

PARUS — a medium-early parthenocarpic cucumber hybrid, intended for cultivation in plastic greenhouses and open ground. The plant is medium-height, with strong branching ability and medium vine strength, forming 7-8 lateral shoots. Female-type flowering, with 2-4 fruits per node, contributes to high yields up to 5-6 kg per plant. Medium-sized green leaves complete the picture of a healthy and productive plant.

The fruits of the PARUS cucumber have an oval-cylindrical shape with a bumpy surface and matte texture. Fruit length is 8-10 cm, diameter 3-6 cm, weight ranging from 60 to 90 g. The fruits are green with narrow light stripes, which may cover up to half or even more of the fruit. Black spines and absence of bitterness, genetically determined, make the fruits particularly attractive to consumers. The fruits do not brown easily and are suitable for universal use, including canning.

The hybrid shows enhanced resistance to major cucumber diseases such as powdery mildew, downy mildew, ascochytosis, and olive spot. This ensures stable yields and reduces the need for frequent application of protective treatments. Recommended for cultivation in plastic and glass greenhouses, as well as in open ground, making PARUS a versatile choice for various climatic conditions and cultivation technologies.
