Cucumber Pavlik F1 is a medium-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid intended for cultivation in open ground and under plastic covers. The plant is indeterminate, medium-height, with a female flowering type and a compact, moderately branched form. Leaves are green, and fruits are short, cylindrical, ribbed, 8-12 cm long, with a small seed cavity and dense flesh. The cucumbers have good taste qualities both fresh and preserved, making the variety suitable for salads, pickling, and canning. Hybrid Pavlik is characterized by high yield and resistance to diseases such as cladosporiosis and olive spot, as well as moderate resistance to ascochitosis. When grown under plastic cover at a planting density of 2 plants per square meter, the yield can reach 23-25 kg per square meter by early July. The commercial output is 98-100%, confirming the high quality of the fruits. The variety is recommended for various regions and has been successfully tested in Moscow and Samara regions. Key agronomic practices include training the plants on trellises, removing the first shoots and fruits before 70 cm height, and pinching off side shoots to control vegetative growth. The optimal temperature for hybrid development until flowering onset is approximately +18°C at night and +21-23°C during the day, with nighttime temperature increased to +19-20°C during fruiting. For maintaining favorable conditions, it is recommended to use plastic covers or non-woven materials such as Agrotex or Spanbond, which improves microclimate and increases yield.
