Description
Cucumber General is a high-yielding parthenocarpic variety that can be grown both in open ground and in protected environments. This hybrid is characterized by early maturity and can produce yields significantly exceeding those of traditional cucumbers, reaching up to 35 kg per square meter. The plant adapts well to various conditions, is resistant to stress, air drought, diseases, and pests, and also exhibits cold and shade tolerance. The variety has high branching capacity, promoting good lateral shoot development and increased yield.
The fruits of cucumber General have a dark green color, large-bumpy surface, length of 10-12 cm, and weight of about 90 grams. They possess a small seed cavity, tender aromatic juice, and exquisite flavor without bitterness, which is an inherent trait of the variety. When proper agronomic practices are followed, the fruits do not develop hollows, enhancing their quality and consumer appeal.
This variety is versatile in use: cucumbers General are excellent for fresh consumption and are widely used for pickling, canning, and pickled cucumbers. For successful cultivation, seedlings should be sown in early spring, followed by transplanting into open ground at the end of May. Watering should be abundant and warm, and fertilization should be regular, approximately once a week with complex fertilizers. The planting location can be either sunny or partially shaded, making the variety suitable for various climatic conditions.
