Cucumber EMERALD STREAM

Prioritizing Early Harvest and Resilience

The «Izumrudny Potok» (Emerald Stream) variety from Sedek is a specialized solution for growers focused on ultra-early production. As an open-ground, bee-pollinated variety, it reaches the fruiting stage in less than 40 days, offering a significant advantage for early-season market entry.

Field Performance and Harvesting

The defining characteristic of this variety is its smooth, dark-green skin. Unlike bumpy hybrids, these cucumbers offer a clean, premium appearance that is highly sought after in the fresh produce market. The smooth texture not only enhances marketability but also simplifies post-harvest handling and transport.

• Disease Resistance: Strong genetic resistance to powdery mildew helps farmers minimize fungicide applications, lowering production costs during the peak of the season.
• Agronomic Focus: Being a bee-pollinated variety, crop management must include ensuring active pollinator presence. The plant exhibits a vigorous vegetative growth habit, requiring proper space management and pruning for optimal airflow.
• Application: This variety is tailored for commercial farms aiming for high-quality, long, uniform fruit suitable for retail displays.

Developed by reputable breeders Dubinin S.V., Dubinina I.N., and Lukyanenko A.N., the variety upholds the strict selection standards maintained by Sedek. «Izumrudny Potok» remains a reliable asset for planning a high-yield vegetable production cycle.
