Gerda cucumber is a mid-early hybrid intended for cultivation both in open and protected ground. The plant is strong-growing and highly branched, with predominantly female flowering and clustered fruit set, promoting intensive and uniform fruiting. The hybrid has partial parthenocarpy, allowing it to develop successfully both with and without bee pollination.

Gerda cucumber fruits are short, cylindrical, and prominently ribbed, with characteristic green tones and small stripes. The fruits are white-haired, 8 to 10 cm long and 70 to 90 grams in weight, not overgrowing or deforming, making them convenient for various uses. Due to resistance to true and false powdery mildew, this hybrid is characterized by high reliability and stable yields.

Gerda cucumber is recommended for fresh consumption, and also excellently suited for pickling and preparation of lightly salted cucumbers.
