Arshin

Arshin cucumber is an early-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid, intended for salad, canning, and pickling purposes. The plant is determinate, single-stemmed, with a female flower type, ensuring predominantly one or two female flowers per node. Leaves are medium-sized, dark green, and fruits are cylindrical or spindle-shaped, measuring 9–11 cm in length and 3.1–3.4 cm in diameter. The fruits are green with longitudinal light stripes, medium ribbing and spines, weighing 90–120 grams. The fruit flavor is crisp, juicy, and sweet, making this variety especially attractive for fresh consumption and processing. The hybrid features high market yield, reaching 8.0–9.0 kg per square meter in greenhouse conditions. Due to its resistance to major cucumber diseases such as cladosporiosis, cucumber mosaic virus, powdery mildew, and other fungal infections, the Arshin variety ensures a stable and high-quality harvest. These characteristics make it a reliable choice for cultivation both in open fields and under cover. The Arshin variety was developed by the seed company «Manul» and belongs to the group of hybrids combining high productivity with disease resistance.
