Northern Beauty Berries is a large-fruited late-maturing variety that reaches an average berry size of 13–15 mm and a mass of up to 4.5 g. The berries have an oval-round shape, a glossy surface, and transition from a light reddish hue to dark raspberry during ripening. The fruit taste is sour, without a distinct aroma, sugar content reaches 7%, and acidity is about 3%. The berries retain their characteristic taste even during storage at moderate levels.
The shrub is of medium height (up to 15–17 cm) and spreads to a width of approximately 1 m, without exceeding 10 cm in height. The leaves are oval, smooth, and green, while stems about 70 mm long often form several buds. Stems and leaves are colored in brown-light brown tones.
The variety is distinguished by high frost hardiness: it withstands temperatures down to –33 °C under snow cover and down to –25 °C without it. It requires acidic soils (pH 5–5.2) with peat presence and does not have special requirements for other growing conditions. Resistance to diseases and pests is high, although there may be a slight predisposition to snow mold. Yield ranges from 1.5 to 3.5 kg/m², averaging about 2.5–3 kg/m², making it attractive for commercial cultivation.
