Cotton Dniprovskyi 5

Industrial Potential of the "Dniprovskyi 5" Cotton Variety

Registered in 2001, the "Dniprovskyi 5" cotton variety is a product of the Institute of Climate-Oriented Agriculture of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine. It is specifically bred for the steppe agro-climatic zone, demonstrating high adaptability to the region's unique environmental challenges.

Processing and Quality of Fiber

The primary purpose of this variety is industrial processing. As a representative of the Gossypium hirsutum L. species, "Dniprovskyi 5" is optimized for the production of high-quality cotton fiber. Its mid-season growth cycle allows for efficient harvest management.

• Marketability: The compact bush structure is ideal for mechanized harvesting, which ensures the purity of the raw material and maintains the integrity of the cotton bolls.
• Logistics and Storage: The bolls are resistant to premature opening, providing excellent transportability from the field to the processing facility. The harvested raw cotton is stable during storage, allowing producers to manage their supply chains effectively without immediate processing pressure.
• Industrial Application: The fiber quality meets the requirements of the textile industry, making it a reliable choice for commercial cultivation in the steppe regions.

"Dniprovskyi 5" remains a time-tested solution for agricultural enterprises looking for a stable, high-yielding variety that delivers consistent quality for industrial fiber production.
