ZPPL 28

Corn ZPPL 28 is a high-yielding hybrid with FAO 280, developed for grain production. This hybrid features a dent kernel type and medium-early maturity, ensuring a stable and high yield of up to 12-13 tons per hectare. Thanks to its strong root system and high resistance to frost, drought, and water deficiency, ZPPL 28 is suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including the Polesie, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe regions of Ukraine.

The hybrid demonstrates high plasticity and stability, confirmed by high agronomic performance indicators: resistance to lodging, cold tolerance, and rapid water recovery. It tolerates monoculture and prolonged stand, and is adapted to various soil types and levels of mineral nutrition. The recommended planting density varies depending on moisture conditions, allowing for optimized yield in different agroclimatic zones.

ZPPL 28 corn can be sown using traditional, minimal tillage, and No-Tillage soil preparation methods at temperatures of 8°C or higher. The hybrid shows high tolerance to diseases such as stalk and ear fusarium, and to aerial and blister smut, reducing the risk of yield loss. All these characteristics make ZPPL 28 a reliable choice for farmers aiming for high productivity and resilience under variable climate conditions.
