Corn Volraxx

Austrian Breeding for Modern Farming

The «Volrax» corn hybrid represents a fresh approach to intensive agriculture, introduced to the Ukrainian market in 2025. Developed in Austria, this product is the result of long-term breeding efforts aimed at creating a crop capable of efficiently converting resources into high grain yields.

Technological Potential and Adaptability

At the core of «Volrax» lies F1 genetics, which provides a pronounced heterosis effect. With an FAO rating of 350, this hybrid occupies the mid-season niche, making it an optimal choice for farms focused on producing commercial grain with minimal drying costs. Key features that distinguish it from its counterparts include:

• Intensive Development Type: The hybrid demonstrates excellent results when using modern intensive cultivation technologies.
• Biological Resilience: Breeders have focused heavily on pathogen protection. «Volrax» shows high tolerance to ear fusarium, stalk rots, and common smut, which is critical for maintaining harvest quality during wet autumns.
• Agronomic Plasticity: Its ability to adapt to various soil and climatic conditions allows for its use across a wide range of fields throughout Ukraine.

The dent-type grain, combined with a rapid moisture release mechanism, makes «Volrax» a reliable tool for agronomists seeking predictable results. The variety is owned by Corteva Agriscience Ukraine, ensuring that high quality control standards for seed material are maintained throughout all production stages.
