LID2334C, a 2025 registration from Lidea France SAS, is an intensive maize hybrid designed for high-input farming systems. As an F1 hybrid, its yield performance is directly linked to the precision of agronomic practices, particularly regarding plant density and nutrient management.

Sowing and Plant Population

Successful establishment begins with sowing when soil temperatures reach a stable +10°C to +12°C. To maximize the genetic potential of LID2334C, the following plant populations are recommended:

• High-yield environments (sufficient moisture): 75,000–80,000 plants/ha.
• Water-limited environments: 60,000–65,000 plants/ha.

Seed placement should be uniform at a depth of 4–6 cm to ensure synchronized emergence, which is vital for uniform crop development and efficient harvesting.

Soil Requirements and Crop Care

This hybrid thrives in well-structured, aerated soils with a neutral pH. It shows a strong response to nitrogen application during the V6–V8 growth stages, which is critical for ear development. Foliar application of zinc and boron at the V8–V10 stage is recommended to optimize kernel set and grain filling.

Weed control is essential during the early vegetative stages to prevent competition. LID2334C is noted for its excellent stalk strength and lodging resistance. However, in regions with high humidity during the flowering period, proactive monitoring for fungal diseases is advised to protect the yield potential of the ears.
