Corn SETSV 1 is a super-early hybrid sweet corn, distinguished by its high yield and excellent taste. The plant reaches a height of 160 to 190 cm, forming beautiful cylindrical ears 19 to 26 cm long with 16-18 rows of bright yellow kernels. Due to its high sugar content and delicate flavor, this corn is ideal for fresh consumption, freezing, and processing.
This hybrid is resistant to various diseases, including southern leaf blight, and is not prone to cracking during transport, ensuring the preservation of harvest quality. Corn SETSV 1 is well adapted for cultivation both in open ground and under plastic cover. Seeds are fully prepared for sowing and require no additional treatment, simplifying the planting process.
For successful cultivation, sow seeds when soil temperature reaches 8-10 °C at a depth of 6-8 cm, with a density of 50-60 thousand plants per hectare. The crop is warm- and light-loving, particularly sensitive to temperature and humidity during ear formation. Optimal growth temperature is 20-24 °C; temperatures above 30 °C during flowering may negatively affect ear development. It is recommended to sow corn in solid blocks, away from fodder corn, to maintain high flavor quality.
