Description SAT 400
SAT 400 is a two-line hybrid corn (Zea mays L.) with a predominantly grain-oriented purpose, featuring a medium-late maturity and a vegetative period of approximately 88 days. Plants are tall, with broad leaf blades and medium cob density. The tip of the first leaf is rounded to obtuse, and the leaf position is slightly curved. The hybrid has a medium cob length with a weakly conical shape, short stalk, and medium diameter. The kernels are dent-shaped, with the upper part yellow and the lower part yellowish-white. Anthocyanin pigmentation is weak or absent on roots, base of tassel, and pollen, while the kernel stalk has medium anthocyanin pigmentation. The hybrid is characterized by high yield and quality of silage mass. Average yield in the region is 198.5 c/ha, with maximum yields reaching 386.4 c/ha, confirming its intensive nature and adaptation to the North Caucasus region. Dry matter in silage reaches 38.9 %, ensuring good nutritional value and feed preservation. SAT 400 has cold resistance, enabling successful cultivation under various climatic conditions. Due to its morphological features and high productivity, the hybrid SAT 400 is suitable for both grain and silage production. Its medium maturity and resistance to adverse factors make it an advantageous choice for farmers seeking a stable and high-quality corn harvest.
