EC MIDGARD

EC Midgard is a high-yielding mid-early hybrid corn variety intended for grain production. The plant is medium-height with strong ear attachment, featuring 16 rows of kernels, each containing 26 to 28 kernels. The 1000-kernel weight is 320 grams. Kernel type is dent-type, with more than 50% of kernels having a dent shape, and the kernel color is yellow throughout both upper and lower sections. The hybrid has a medium anthocyanin pigmentation of the stalk.

EC Midgard hybrid is adapted to various growing conditions and exhibits high resistance to Fusarium and Gibberella due to the application of the Tropical Dent technology. It also demonstrates resistance to late lodging, which helps preserve yield. The vegetative period is approximately 105 days, and the required thermal sum for flowering is 860°C, for grain maturity at 32% moisture content — 1660°C.

Recommended planting density depends on moisture conditions: in well-watered zones, the optimal density is 75,000 plants per hectare, while in dry conditions — 65,000 plants per hectare.
