PH 204 VV

PH 204 VV is a mid-early corn hybrid with an FAO of 270, intended for grain production. It is characterized by flint type grains with yellow-orange coloring of the upper and lower parts. The plant is small in size with a leaf of medium width and medium ear having an average number of rows of grains. The hybrid has anthocyanin coloration of roots at the stem and cob core, as well as weak anthocyanin coloration of silk. Due to its morphological features such as a small angle between the leaf blade and the stem, as well as an ear shank of medium length, PH 204 VV is well adapted to various growing conditions.

This hybrid stands out for its high yield that in experimental sowings reached from 11.5 to 14.2 tons per hectare. It has a high stress resistance including excellent frost tolerance, drought and lodging resistance which makes it a reliable choice for areas with different levels of moisture. PH 204 VV demonstrates rapid growth rates and vigorous development which allows early sowing and provides high germination force. After the milky period of grain ripening, ears quickly lose moisture, making harvesting easier.

The recommended seeding rate is from 65 to 70 thousand plants per hectare in areas with sufficient moisture and 60-65 thousand per hectare under conditions of insufficient moisture. Seeds are supplied in bags containing 70 thousand pieces and processed with fungicides and insecticides for protection against diseases and pests. The average weight of one thousand seeds is 23.4 kg. Thanks to its medium plant height and strong stems, the hybrid is resistant to adverse weather conditions and lodging which contributes to a stable and high yield.
